“KARAVANSAR”: A PLACE WHERE STRANGERS BECOME FRIENDS.

A Friar recently introduced me to his blog and I was taken by the name  "Karavansar".

Picture, if you will, a dusty road winding through unknown landscapes, where the horizon is an ever-elusive dream. It is here, in the heart of uncertainty, that Karavansar unfolds its profound meaning. It is the respite, the sanctuary, where footsteps pause to catch their breath before venturing out again. This enchanting word, "Karavansar", a word that dances on the air, gracefully weaving its Eastern mystique into the very fabric of our consciousness, beckons to the weary traveller, a refuge amidst the relentless road of travel.

"Karavansar" leaves in the tender care of the traveler's heart something special. It is a place where the ephemeral meets the eternal, where the closeness of camaraderie blooms amidst the transient.

Cosmas Ifeanyichukwu, a co-conspirator in the whimsical exploration of "Karavansar", shares this linguistic delight. Together WE delve into the heart of this enchanting word and discover its profound symbolism. It is the sanctuary of respite, the respite that comes from pausing on a journey, a cherished interlude of intimacy with others in the midst of the unknown, leading to the haven that lies at the end of the journey.  For every space visited for the first time becomes a conquered territory, a realm of uncharted nostalgia that tugs at our souls, beckoning us to return for a second encounter.

He whispered to me, as he always does, that a place that beckons with the promise of solace, of a momentary sanctuary along life's tumultuous path, a beacon of hospitality, a refuge for the traveller seeking shelter from the storms of travel, a place where one can lay down one's burdens and bask in the warmth of camaraderie should be hurriedly desired.

He asked me what my thoughts were, I smiled, well, I am still thinking about it.
